Activity Centre Site Warden

We are advertising the role of Activity Centre Site Warden and Deputy.  If you would like to discuss either of these roles please contact us.

The role and responsibilities of the two roles are as follows:

Site Warden

  1. To be the leading figure for all volunteers at the centre and maintain good communication with all the teams at Fylde District Scout Activity Centre.
  2. To promote the values of Scouting with new and old volunteers and be responsible for investing new members into the centre.
  3. To ensure the security of the activity centre is maintained and account for all district assets at the centre.
  4. To ensure the organisation of maintenance, cleaning and waste disposal is maintained and in line with budgets and business demands.
  5. To be responsible for submitting expenditure requests to the site subcommittee and the District Executive.
  6. Managing subcontractors and obtaining quotes for subcontractor work.
  7. Manage finances out of District budgets including Maintenance Activities, Cleaning, and the replacement of centre assets.
  8. Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the Scout Association Child Protection, Health and Safety Policies, and adhering to the Scout Association POR.
  9. Ensure that all policies and agreements are kept up to date in line with changes in government legislation and organisational changes.
  10. Be the lead volunteer to ensure change and investment to keep the centre aligned with the needs of the organisation and young people.
  11. Represent the centre and all volunteers at the Site Sub Committee Meetings and District Executive Meetings.
    To lead and support on district events that are been held at the centre.
  12. To encourage young people to help and get involved with the centre in the form of service and activities and be equally open to ideas from all sections.

Site Warden Deputy

  1. To be the head volunteer for the Duty Warden Team and support the team with maintenance, standards, and issues.
  2. To promote the values of Scouting with new and old volunteers and be responsible for investing new members into the centre.
  3. To help advise on the security of the activity centre to help maintain and account for all district assets at the centre to the Site Warden.
  4. To help ensure the organisation of maintenance, cleaning and waste disposal is maintained and in line with budgets and business demands.
  5. Help supervise subcontractors and obtaining quotes for subcontractor work.
  6. Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the Scout Association Child Protection and in line with government Health and Safety legislation.
  7. Ensure that all policies and agreements are kept up to date in line with changes in government legislation and organisational changes.
  8. To provide ideas to help the improvement, change and investment to keep the centre aligned with the needs of the organisation and young people.
  9. Support the Site Warden to Represent the centre and all volunteers at the Site Sub Committee Meetings and District Executive Meetings.
  10. To Support the Site Warden to lead and support on district events that are been held at the centre.
